Sainte-Luce Private Reserve **

The Sainte-Luce Private Reserve is in southeastern Madagascar north of Tolagnaro (= Fort-Dauphin). It consists of a small tract of coastal forest, and is a good site for seeing the red-collared brown lemur (Eulemur collaris) in the Pandanus-dominated forest right along the ocean. Sightings of fat-tailed dwarf lemur (Cheirogaleus medius) and southern woolly lemur (Avahi meridionalis) are possible as well. The reserve belongs to the de Heaulme family, the owners of Berenty, and arrangements to visit can be made through the Hotel Le Dauphin in Tolagnaro.
