Bemosary Classified Forest

Located in central-eastern Madagascar, the Bemosary Classified Forest is currently the only place where one has a reasonable chance of seeing the Betsileo woolly lemur (Avahi betsileo), which was first described in 2007. The forest fragment where this species occurs is located about one hour (by foot) from the village of Fandriana. However, a visit to this site is best left to seasoned lemur-watchers with several trips to Madagascar under their belt.
